Almanac of North Carolina Politics

NCFREE’s flagship publication is a 1,000-page compilation of facts and figures on each of the 10-member NC Council of State, 170 members of the state legislature, 15-member NC Court of Appeals, 7-member NC Supreme Court and 15-member federal delegation.

Profiles of Challengers

In March of each election year NCFREE profiles the challengers. Profiles are based on responses to NCFREE’s Candidate Questionnaire, featuring issue questions most important to North Carolina business and industry.

Profiles of Legislative Districts

NCFREE provides the most comprehensive profile available for each legislative and congressional district, all from a business perspective. NCFREE district profiles are filled with hundreds of demographic facts and show where the voters stand on business issues and how they voted throughout the decade in key federal, state and legislative races.

Executive Keys

NCFREE’s web based and email publication Executive Keys keeps members informed on the major political trends taking place in North Carolina. Executive Keys is distributed once a week via email and internet. It provides business and industrial members of NCFREE a summary of NC political news and notes.

Electronic Files and Same-day Data Transfer Service

Electronic files on incumbents, challengers and districts are available to NCFREE members only on disk and via the Internet. NCFREE provides its members with same-day access to all NCFREE reports via the Internet.

Regional Political Briefings

NCFREE conducts 27 political briefings in nine cities across North Carolina during each two-year legislative election cycle. These rapid-fire, fact-filled presentations have earned a reputation of being an enjoyable and valuable two hours.

Statewide Public Opinion Surveys

NCFREE’s statewide public opinion surveys are conducted each election cycle for the purpose of tracking the most important political trends of the season.
